Bought By Many’s mission is to make insurance better for everyone. It analyses millions of online insurance searches to identify gaps in the market and consumers’ frustrations with existing insurance offers. It then creates unique products to fulfil the unmet demand or negotiates exclusive deals with partner insurers for members of its groups for specific needs. It has over 500,000 members and more than 300 groups, including travel insurance for people with cancer and pet insurance for staffie owners. The company was founded in 2012 by Steven Mendel and Guy Farley. Bought By Many has won numerous awards and accolades, including the Innovation in Insurance Award at the Fintech Innovation Awards 2016, it was included in the FinTech50 list in 2016 and named as a ‘ones to watch’ company in the 2017 Sunday Times Tech Track.
